Within her heart she carries dreams.
The dreams,
those were passed down to her;
from her mother,
from her grandmother,
from her great grandmother and
even from generations
of women before them
in her family line.
She also carries the dreams,
those were hurled at her
in silent anger, anguish or pain
by some women,
who could never raise their voice
or shed a single drop of tear
for some reason;
whose faces were blurred with time
but their dreams remained
etched in her heart.
Some of those dreams,
that always stay within her,
are the dreams,
those she received
from many women
with love, care and
a hope in their hearts.
Then she has
her very own dreams,
she has carefully nurtured for her.
Yes. A myriad of dreams,
she carries within her heart.
And her soul carries a single dream.
A dream of fulfilling all those dreams,
that she always carries
with and within her…
